Short information for those preparing for the PMP exam
Attention! The following brief information is not exhaustive and includes subjective points based on feedback from previous candidates. The purpose of this summary is to give you some preliminary help in your preparation. For detailed information, please consult the other sections of our website.

- PMI Global will verify that the candidate is eligible to take the exam. If so, the examination fee must be paid. It may be worthwhile to upgrade to an annual membership, as this offers a discount on the exam fee, as well as digital access to all PMI publications and online knowledge base.
- Once the exam fee is paid, you have 12 months to take the exam
- If you need a company invoice for the exam fee, please contact the Global Organisation directly at Business.Relations@pmi.org
In order to pass the exam, it is recommended that you complete as many practice questions as possible, as the exam is not based on the presentation of lexical knowledge but rather on practical application.

The PMP® certificate is valid for 3 years and can be renewed every three years (for a case-by-case fee). To renew the certificate, the holder must have completed 60 PDU points (60 hours of training, community service or personal practice).
- This can be achieved during the one-year membership period, even through free on-demand webinars. In addition, for example, PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter Lunch & Learn events also provide PDU points (as do all our other events, and you can also earn PDU points by volunteering).
- The validity of the certificate is open to the public and can be checked without registration here
