What does A.T.P. stand for?

PMI A.T.P.s (Authorized Training Partners) are organisations approved by the Project Management Institute that deliver official, PMI-developed training for project management certifications. These partners form a global network of trusted providers offering instructor-led courses (online and in person) to help professionals build skills, prepare for certification exams, and earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) for certification maintenance.

To achieve A.T.P. status, providers must meet rigorous PMI standards for quality, content, and instructor qualifications, and undergo ongoing evaluation to maintain their accreditation.

The PMI Authorized Training Partner programme is designed to help you find high-quality, reliable training. When you train with an Authorized Training Partner, you can expect:

  • Training delivered by a trusted, PMI-approved organisation
  • High-quality, PMI-developed and licensed course content
  • Instruction from PMI-certified trainers who provide expert guidance and support
  • A structured learning path aligned with PMI certification requirements and career development

This is particularly important when preparing for the PMP® exam and other PMI certifications, as ATP courses are designed to align with PMI standards and exam requirements.

All instructors delivering PMP® exam preparation through an Authorized Training Partner are required to complete the PMI Authorized Training Partner Train the Trainer – PMP Exam Prep® program and are authorised to teach only PMI-developed course content.
