Hungary Project Manager Salary Survey 2024

Following the great interest and successful reception of the second Hungarian Project Manager Salary Survey in 2022, PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter and Corvinus University of Budapest have again mapped the salary conditions in the Hungarian project management profession as a result of a new joint research. The first survey took place between January and August 2020, the second between April and August 2022, and the third between July and September 2024. Our joint research report, which continues to follow the methodology of the "PMI Earning Power: Project Management Salary Survey", provides professionals with an opportunity to gain a comprehensive picture of the earnings and trends in the earnings of project, programme and portfolio management professionals working in Hungary.

The research was carried out by experts from Corvinus University of Budapest, who, in addition to following the PMI methodology, tried to take into account local specificities when evaluating the data.

Joint project manager training  from September 2021

With the professional support of the PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter Corvinus University of Budapest is launching an international, English-speaking, postgraduate degree course in Project Management, starting from 1 September 2021. The course will train project managers who are capable of working on projects of medium complexity, both in Hungary and abroad. The training will be continuously developed in partnership to ensure that the programme meets the dynamically changing market requirements, which will guarantee the up-to-date knowledge of graduates.

The PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter provides professional support to Corvinus University of Budapest in delegating lecturers to teach jointly selected subjects and is also involved in curriculum development.

Hungary Project Manager Salary Survey 2020

PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter and Corvinus University of Budapest have conducted the first project manager salary survey in Hungary, following the methodology of the "PMI Earning Power: Project Management Salary Survey". Our joint research report provides professionals with an overview of project managers' earnings in Hungary.

Our research report "PMI Project Manager Salary Survey Hungary 2020" provides a picture of today's labour market trends and the different salary bands in the project management profession. The research report also presents the income and compensation conditions in the most important project management fields.

 

This is the first comprehensive research in Hungary to provide compensation information to professionals and managers based on a number of key factors such as position, industry, and Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification status.
