Beyond Agile Transformation: Enterprise Agility and the New Era of Project Success
For years, many organizations treated agility as a team-level methodology, a transformation program, or a debate between “old” project management and “new” agile ways of working. That era is over. In today’s world of AI acceleration, market volatility, and constant reinvention, the real challenge is no longer choosing between project management and agile. It is building organizations ready for change that can continuously adapt while still delivering value at scale.
Drawing on the new Manifesto for Enterprise Agility co-created in PMI & Agile Alliance partnership, recent global research, and practical examples, the session will address why many agile transformations stalled, what leaders often misunderstood about their own business context, and how organizations can move beyond frameworks toward enterprise-wide agility built for their strategy, industry, and reality.
The partnership between PMI and Agile Alliance goes beyond symbolism. It signals a new chapter for the profession, where project and product thinking converge, governance evolves, and delivery becomes outcome-driven.
Keynote speaker
Charles Igwe
Program & Portfolio Leader
Dr. Charles Igwe (Ph.D., EMBA, MSc, PMP) is an engaging and dynamic project management thought leader. With extensive experience navigating highly regulated and risk-averse environments, Charles specializes in transforming enterprise project delivery systems, establishing strategic PMOs, and driving cultural shifts from rigid compliance to trusted competence. He is a passionate speaker dedicated to empowering leaders to move beyond theoretical frameworks and build resilient teams that deliver value by design.
Architects of Certainty: From Ground Zero to Gold Standard
In an era defined by constant disruption, the greatest source of uncertainty often comes from within our own organizations. How do you deliver value when project teams are siloed, data is fragmented, and governance stifles innovation?
This keynote explores the gripping transformation of an enterprise PMO operating in one of the world's most highly regulated and risk-averse environments. Dr. Charles Igwe will share the practical blueprint of how a $100M+ mission-critical portfolio moved from "Ground Zero" firefighting to a "Gold Standard" of predictive, strategic delivery.
Attendees will discover how to anchor their delivery systems with strategic alignment, measurable performance, and cultural enablement to build trust and navigate the complexities of modern project execution.
Keynote Speaker
Örs Legeza
Award-winner scientist and researcher
Örs is a doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, spent several years in the United States and at various European institutions and received various awards such as the Hans Fischer Senior Award, and the Humboldt Research Award. He is developing novel algorithms and his computer codes are used worldwide for more than two decades, and currently he works with tech companies such as NVIDIA, AMD, IBM, Riverlane, FACCTS, and Furukawa.
Future computing: a journey from academic aspects towards industrial perspectives
Framed as a Blue Ocean Strategy, this keynote argues that the technological foundations for breakthrough innovation are already within reach. In the rapidly evolving landscape of quantum technology, industry leaders are investing to identify where quantum advantage - exponential computational gains - can deliver real-world value, while competition with classical simulation continues to intensify.
We explore how quantum-inspired algorithms can significantly enhance classical computing performance without requiring quantum hardware, fully leveraging GPU-accelerated high-performance systems. Drawing on collaborations with NVIDIA, IBM, and SandboxAQ, we address key questions of scalability, energy demand, and sustainability, and outline the path from academic research to industrial application.
The talk highlights how elevating these approaches to a professional R&D level can unlock new frontiers in AI, data processing, pharmaceuticals, and materials science.
Panel discussion
The AI conversation is no longer about potential - it’s about accountability, value, and leadership under real conditions. The closing panel at the Art of Projects Conference brings together four distinct perspectives to challenge assumptions and redefine what it takes to lead in AI-driven environments.
“From Hype to Value – Rethinking Project Leadership in the Age of AI” is designed as a multi-angle dialogue - where each voice represents a critical lens on the same transformation.
