PMI Columbus GA September Virtual Event - The Proven and Practical Project Manager Toolkit by Daniel Sklar, PMP
The Practical Project Management Toolkit: Tools to Turbocharge Your Projects
Every project manager should have a proven, practical, and powerful toolkit – of skills, techniques, processes, procedures, tools, and templates – to help a project or program's success. The toolkit should be proven (it works), practical (efficient and adaptable), and powerful (big impact).
This presentation will focus on three proven, practical, and powerful tools: Information Mapping, Results Chains, and Benefits Registers. It will provide you with a good understanding of each tool, real-world examples, and practical tips to apply them successfully.
Information Mapping is a structured writing method and format — it improves a project's written communication for both the writer and the reader. Results Chains identify a program's activities and outcomes and the relationships among them — it clarifies and visually communicates what needs to be done and why. Benefit Registers document a program's intended benefits, specify how to measure them, and show progress — it proves if a program is achieving the expected outcomes. Turbocharge your project management with these three tools!
