OUR PROJECT IS A PROFIT CENTER. NOW WHAT? - Project Business - the Contractor Side

Power Skills

Project Business - the Contractor Side

  • There is a growing demand for project managers, who can run projects as profit centers for their employers - professional vendors of project services and products.
  • Leading and directing a project for these project managers is a business task: Bringing money home while managing a high-risk business for all parties involved and making the customer happy.
  • For project managers educated to lead internal projects, cross-functional cost centers, help is needed to do the change to cross-corporate profit centers. To ensure mission success, they must learn different terminology, develop business acumen, and obtain knowledge in contract law - on top of project management skills.
  • Most experienced project managers involved in Project Business have learned that through Trial and Error. The problem: Trial in project business is expensive, and error even more.
  • What is necessary for organizations and individuals to steepen the learning curve and be successful in performing projects as businesses for paying customers?
