How will artificial intelligence (AI) influence and transform the project management profession?
The 11th Art of Projects Conference, organized by PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter, took place on November 9, 2023, at the Bosch Innovation Campus in Budapest, Hungary. The conference brought together esteemed speakers and professionals from the project management community worldwide, facilitating insightful discussions on the intersection of artificial intelligence and project management.
The conference featured prominent speakers, including:
- György Bőgel, PhD: Renowned academic and retired professor from Central European University, serving as the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
- Jennifer Tharp, PMP®: Chair of the Board of Directors at Project Management Institute, USA, who discussed the global trends impacting the evolving nature of work and the role of PMI in preparing individuals and organizations for the Project Economy.
- Peter Taylor, PMP®: Keynote speaker and coach from the United Kingdom, shared insights on the impact of artificial intelligence on project management, exploring challenges and opportunities in the AI world.
- Cornelius Fichtner, PMP®, CSM: Keynote Speaker and Podcast Host from the USA, delved into the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in managing projects effectively.
- Susie Palmer-Trew, APM, PMQ, MSc: Entrepreneur from the United Kingdom, examined the role of AI in change management and its influence on decision-making processes.
- Tamás Fischl, PhD: Bosch Scientist specializing in leveraging artificial intelligence for industrial applications, discussed managing AI in industrial projects.
- László Milán Molnár, PhD: Group Leader at Bosch, addressed the challenges of a highly changing business environment in the context of automated driving technology.
Those with PMI certification could collect 6 PDUs during the event, which included presentations on the latest AI trends, project management tools and innovative techniques. Various topics were covered, including the future of project management with AI integration, automated management, how the project economy works, and changes in the industrial environment as AI takes off.
The conference was followed on 10 November by a Masterclass, also organised by PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter, with a presentation by Peter Taylor. The second day was attended by 18 participants and allowed for personalised attention and reflection on key topics.
