September 20 was the start of the fourth year of the International Project Manager postgraduate education program at Corvinus University in partnership with the Hungarian Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Budapest. This year, the program welcomed 27 students, selected from a record number of applicants, reflecting the growing demand for high-quality, international project management training in Hungary.

The program, launched in 2021, has quickly gained popularity due to its unique focus on equipping professionals with the skills needed to manage complex international projects. Dr. Bálint Blaskovics, PMP®, Associate Professor and Program Director, shared his excitement: "Back in 2019, when we started to work on this new education program, our aim was to be the best and most attractive project management postgraduate education program in Hungary. This year is a key milestone in the history of the  International Project Manager program, since we have not only a record number of students but also a record number of foreign students as well."

László Kremmer, CSM®, PMP® former President of PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter and one of the founders of the program, emphasized the benefits of this practitioner-led initiative: "We aim to develop project managers with strong theoretical foundations and practical skills. Our lecturers are seasoned project managers who bring real-world experience into the classroom, which allows students to learn methods that are directly applicable in their professional careers."

The curriculum covers a comprehensive range of project management knowledge, from essential principles to advanced techniques, all taught in English. The program is designed for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including economics, management studies, engineering, and law, who wish to enhance their project management expertise. Laszlo Kremmer added: "One of the most important aspects of this program is its accessibility to those who may not have formal project management training but have acquired skills through experience. Our goal is to systematize their knowledge and boost their confidence."

As the program continues to evolve, it remains dedicated to training professionals who can effectively manage various projects, including IT, investment, and software development projects in both large corporations and small to medium-sized enterprises. The emphasis on international standards, supported by the Project Management Institute's PMBOK Guide, ensures that graduates are prepared to work in a global environment.

The International Project Manager postgraduate program at Corvinus University continues to attract ambitious professionals eager to excel in the dynamic field of project management, confirming its status as one of the most sought-after educational opportunities in Hungary.
