JA USA Features PMI President and CEO in Video
Junior Achievement USA (JA USA) features Sunil Prashara, President & CEO of the Project Management Institute (PMI), in a video for its newly launched initiative, How to Understand Economics in Today’s World. This free, online course showcases business leaders in video vignettes as they discuss the effects of the pandemic on their work and how they continue to meet consumer demands throughout it. The resource helps youth, parents, educators and the general public practically apply this knowledge to everyday life.
Sunil discusses PMI’s innovative approach to goods and services during the crisis. These include the association’s new suite of free resources for those who wish to sharpen their project management skills to make a difference through projects, both professionally and personally. In addition, he highlights PMI’s support of the PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF), which partners with the world’s leading nonprofits that deliver high-quality programs to youth.
JA USA has inspired and prepared young people to succeed in a global economy for more than 100 years. The organization annually serves 5 million youth in kindergarten through 12th grade to cultivate their financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurial skills through project-oriented activities. PMIEF is a long-time supporter of JA USA, including through grants awarded in 2014 and 2018 to design both educational modules and an online game to help youth learn project management.
