Corvinus and PMI Budapest have signed a strategic agreement

Corvinus University of Budapest the leading university of Hungary in the field of economics and social sciences, and PMI (Project Management Institute Budapest), the world's largest professional non-profit organization of project managers, have signed a strategic agreement. The goal of the strategic agreement is that the domestic recognition and professional standard of project, program- and portfolio management are to increase with events and educational programs.
At the Corvinus University of Budapest, PMI Budapest, with the professional support of the Hungarian Department, will launch an international project manager program in the English language, providing a postgraduate diploma, on September 1, 2021. The program will train project managers who will hold a position in both complex and domestic projects of medium complexity. The training is constantly evolving within the partnership in order for the program to meet the dynamically changing market requirements, which guarantees the up-to-date knowledge of the graduates. PMI Budapest, Hungarian Branch, provides professional support to the Corvinus University of Budapest in delegating lecturers to teach jointly designated subjects and is also involved in curriculum development.

Dr Péter Fehér, Dean of Executive Degree Programs and Specialized Further Education at Corvinus University, emphasized in signing the strategic agreement that
"Hungary needs an internationally outstanding university that, as a prestigious national institution, is an elite capable of community oriented, performance-oriented and world-class achievements."
Corvinus strives to get more than half of the Hungarian business, government and community leaders, and in Central Europe a significant part of Corvinus graduates. In line with these efforts, the development of project management training is key. Oszkár Dobos, Secretary of the Hungarian Section of PMI Budapest and Vice President for University Relations, highlighted:
"Our goal is to be the most significant project management professional organization in Hungary, which has an active professional community. It is important for us to actively participate in Hungarian project manager program research and professional development related to the profession, as in the changed economic environment the number of projects and the demand for highly qualified, language-speaking project managers is increasing."
